Hope

Hope is reaching out again,
To learn to trust once more.
It's picking up the shattered dreams,
That lay forgotten on the floor.
Hope is learning to forgive,
And learning to move on.
It is moving to recover,
From a hurtful past long gone.
Hope is learning how to smile,
Through tears that have dwelled long.
It's laughter ringing, loud and joyful,
For life has made one strong.
Hope is in the courage,
To mend the tattered soul.
In learning to love and trust again,
The heart can now be whole.
